
The IBT-STP UNHAS Directorate received a visit from 16 students from the University of Tasmania with two companions and 6 students from the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Sciences (FIKP) Unhas as internal companions.
This Inbound Student activity lasts five days, starting 11-15 January 2024. While at Unhas, Tasmanian students have various activities, including receiving materials related to maritime cultivation in South Sulawesi, Unhas International roadmap and policies, Conservation and Biodiversity of marine resources , and several other materials.
After the material reception activity was completed, the students and their companions were also invited to visit several Unhas buildings or facilities, one of which was the Hadin Celebes Coklat Pilot Plant on the 1st Floor of the Unhas Industrial Teaching Building. Director of IBT-STP Unhas, Dr. Fauzi R. Rahim, S.E., M.Sc., CFP., AEPP, Head of Sub-Directorate for Incubator & Start Up IBT-STP Unhas, Afdal, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D and Manager Hadin Coklat, Yusran IB Hernald and the production team Hadin Celebes Coklat welcomed a group of University of Tasmania students in the chocolate pilot plant production room, where they were shown the chocolate production equipment and given an explanation of the chocolate production process.
Dr. Fauzi said that Hadin Celebes Chocolate is one of the downstream products of IBT STP UNHAS which has been commercialized by PT. Hadin. Where this chocolate uses premium raw materials which produces an authentic taste. So this Hadin Chocolate product is always the number one souvenir for every guest who visits Hasanuddin University.
Dr. Taufik, a student companion at the University of Tasmania, also said that they also have a pilot chocolate plant that is currently being developed. So it is hoped that this visit to the IBT-STP UNHAS Teaching Industry will provide new experience and knowledge for inbound University of Tasmania students in the chocolate processing process to get an authentic taste like that of Unhas.
